WELCOME

Owen Chapel Church of Christ is a fellowship of believers who are dedicated to following Jesus Christ. It is located at 1101 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN 37027.

It was founded in 1859 by a small community who called themselves “Euclid”. But that name didn’t last long, and was replaced by “Owens Station” who was the most prominent family. They originally gathered in a log schoolhouse, but built Owen Chapel in 1860.
In 1986, Owen Chapel Church of Christ was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It includes Greek Revival and "Vernacular Greek Revival" architecture.
As of 1988, it was one of only two brick churches in Williamson County that were built before the American Civil War and survived, besides churches in the city of Franklin. The other one outside of Franklin, the Harpeth Presbyterian Church, had been extensively altered and was not eligible for NRHP listing.
